Cheyenne
Hospitality Industry

Welcome to LodgingGuide's hospitality industry listings for the Cheyenne area.

Named by early settlers after the Native American tribe who lived in the area, Cheyenne began as a Union Pacific Railroad station in the mid-1800s and because of its unusually rapid growth was nicknamed “Magic City of the Plains.” Cheyenne is in the southeastern corner of Wyoming, in the High Plains region, just north of the Colorado state line and only about an hour from the Denver metropolitan area, and is the state’s capital. Only a few minutes drive from the lakes, streams and pine trees of Medicine Bow National Forest, Cheyenne is the northern anchor city in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, and its range of climate and terrain supports a full selection of outdoor activities and sports, including snow and water skiing, boating, fishing, camping, horseback riding and rodeo events. Whether your itinerary calls for a contemporary, full-service hotel or one of the many sports lodges or bed and breakfast inns, you will find the perfect accommodations for your Cheyenne adventure.
